Though the weather may still be warm here in California, there are many signals we are transitioning into the fall. Pumpkins adorn porches, the days give way to night earlier and the holidays are around the corner. During transitional seasons, as the balance of warm and cool, light and dark changes in nature, our bodies also mark the change. Your body may crave different foods and movements as we make the move from the summer deeper into the fall. Generally, more slow and grounded practices can be helpful during this time of year, but on the day of this recording I was in need of a slightly more stimulating practice. Respect the felt sense of your own body as you give yourself what you need at this time. Join us for a 60 minute full body practice, with a special focus on sun salutations.
Please work with your unique right effort and enjoy.
Necessary props: strap (dog leash/ karate belt), blocks or stable chair.
Optional props: yoga mat, blanket or towel
Trina Mann is a physical therapist who specializes working with people who have Parkinson's in Northern California! She is also a 200hour R-yoga teacher! She teaches a weekly yoga class in her community, and we are fortunate enough to be able to join the class live through zoom or utilize these recordings!
This wonderful yoga class is more of a gentle, restorative yoga class with a focus on kindness to our body, breath and body awareness. I highly recommend you try it!

Remember - modify as needed. Don't do anything that doesn't feel safe. Use support as needed during standing exercises and use a chair for getting down on the ground and back up if you need it!
